The fuse-link is made up of fuse-element with variable cross-section or just a wire, either of which is enclosed in a fuse-tube of high strength ceramics. The fuse-tube is filled with special quartz sands in a particular density, acting as an arc-extinguish media. The fuse is of high breaking capacity, perfect current cutting-off characteristic and low power dissipation.
